Morning with Ebenezer

PATH

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Psalm 119:105 NIV

The Lord knows the paths that we are taking, there are some paths that are there to humble us, some are there to teach us. Some paths are there to warn us not to repeat the same mistakes in the future; that’s why those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat the same mistakes in the future.

We get wisdom by learning through our mistakes in the past. I believe that everything that God has allowed in our lives has a purpose regardless how painful they may seem. God allowed some people to come in our lives for a season, these people served the purpose for that season and when the season came to its end, they also went away.

Some of us are making mistakes by continuing to carry people of the past and force them to walk in our present paths. God allowed those people to be with us in those seasons because they had something to contribute in our paths. If you met someone and thought you would spent the rest of your life with that person and somewhere along the way things turn around to be different. Then you should learn to accept that it was never meant at the first place and stop dragging that person to fit in your present life.

This morning, God wants you to know that His word is the lamp to your feet, and a light to your path. No matter what season you are right in your life, you need the word of that season. You need to understand what the Bible says about the particular situation that you are passing now. You need to have the word that will carry you to the next season of your life.

The word of God will be the lamp to guide your feet, and light to your path; this means it will show you how you are supposed to live in that particular season of your life. If you are passing through sickness and diseases there is a word for you; if you are having financial difficulties there is word for you. If you struggling with the spirit of backsliding there is a word of you. If you cannot forgive and let go some people in your life; there is a word for you. Read your Bible and you will get all the answers you need in this particular season of your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Jehovah GOD, many times I find it difficult to read your word. Many times I said to myself that I will start reading seriously but end up forgetting my commitments before You. Lord I pray that You may help me to read your word daily; help me to walk in it and obey all that it says. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
