Morning with Ebenezer

LOOKING FOR COMFORT

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5 NLT

Paul started chapter one of the second book of Corinthians by praising God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He describes God as a merciful God and the source of all comfort. Paul understood the comfort of God because He suffered many trials for the sake of Gospel. If it was not God who was with Him; He would maybe somewhere given up on the work that was set before Him.

Here Paul says that God is comforting them in order that they may go and comfort others. The same comfort they received from the Lord himself; they used to give that kind of comfort to others. Many of us are looking for comfort in the midst of our troubles. We looking for people who will show that they care and willing to be there for us when we need someone to stand with us.

Some walk extra miles that they may seek comfort; they engage themselves in even ungodly relationships that they may get some people who may understand them. Some are willing even to giving themselves to certain men or women in exchange for comfort. Some pay money and use their wealth that they may get comfort from people who sell it; today I want to tell you about the man who give it freely.

This morning, I just want you to know that God is the source of every comfort and encouragement in life. He gives that comfort freely through His son Jesus Christ. This Jesus came from heaven to earth, to show the way. From the earth to the cross, my debt to pay; from the cross to the grace, from the grave to the sky. That's why we lift His name on high.

This Jesus will comfort you and help you to overcome whatsoever you are going through right now. Go to Jesus today and tell Him about your life problems. He will take care of each single detail and set you in broad way. He will help you and fill you with His peace.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Help me to overcome every obstacles in life and give me wisdom to be able to comfort others who are in need of my comfort for the glory of your kingdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
