Morning with Ebenezer

A HEART FOR THE MASTER

And this is the reason: God lives forever and is holy.
He is high and lifted up [exalted].
He says, “I live in a high and holy place, but I also live with people who are sad [contrite] and humble [lowly in spirit]. I give new life to [revive the spirit of] those who are humble [lowly] and to those whose hearts are broken [contrite; repentant].

Isaiah 57:15 EXB

As you make efforts to go closer to the Lord, your heart automatically get connected with a heart of the Master. There are things that were not bothering you before and for some reasons you were a fan of them; but as your heart is drawn closer to the Master those things may start to offend you. This is the sign that something is happening in you.

There are many things that we are doing and life styles that we have that are contrary to the will of the Master. If we are just shallow in our faith we may tend to ignore many things and live like the way we think it’s best for us. As we engage ourselves deeper in the relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ many things start to change and our desire to be just like Him grow more and more in each new day.

The Bible says God lives forever and is holy. He lives in a high and holy place; He lives with people who are repentant and humble in spirit. He gives new life to those who are humble and those whose hearts are repentant. This means a heart for the Master should be a repentant heart; a heart that is willing to repent every time it goes astray to the will of the Father.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to live for the Master because He died for you. Master Jesus died on the cross because of our sins; He took our suffering on Himself, He bore our pain. He was punished for what we did. He was crushed because of our guilt. He took the punishment we deserved, and this brought us peace. We were healed because of His pain, Isaiah 53:4a, 5.

Ask the Lord to create a pure heart in you, and renew a right attitude within you, Psalm 51:10. Ask the Lord to remove the heart of stone from you and give you a heart of the flesh, Ezekiel 11:19. I’m encouraging you to desire to be like the Master; desire to walk in His footsteps by doing the will of the Father in your life. I pray that you may continue loving the Lord and be submissive to His will in your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm giving my heart to You. Help me to live according to your will in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
