Morning with Ebenezer

PEACE

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27 NKJV

St Augustine of Hippo said these words that our heart is restless until it rests in You (God). He was one of those people who tried to do everything that they could before returning to the Lord. He lived the life of sin, and walked in the way of the world but later he realized that without God the heart of man can't get the fulfillment that it needs.

We hear testimonies of people who lived the lives of sin before they knew the Lord. Most of them they say although they had many world things in their disposal; but they couldn't get that inner peace out of those things. Alcohol, sex, money, fame, wonderful cars and beautiful women did not satisfy their inner desires.

Maybe you are trying to feed your inner hunger by the things of this world. You think that after getting a certain level of education or a certain degree of prosperity you will get that peace you are looking right now. The world will never give you the peace that your soul is longing for even if you will be given another hundred years to live.

This morning, I'm here to tell you that the peace that you need is found in Christ Jesus. Stop chasing around things of this world that you many get the satisfaction you need in this life. Stop chasing beautiful women or powerful men deceiving yourself that you will get peace in your heart. Start chasing Jesus and everything will be alright.

I want to encourage you to seek the Lord and you will have peace. Jesus said the peace that He will give to us will not be like what the world gives. Then Apostle Paul says that peace of the Lord surpasses all understanding; while guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. I pray that the Lord will fill your heart by His peace today.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I will seek your face, I will seek your peace and walk in obedience in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
