Morning with Ebenezer

CAST YOUR BURDEN

Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

1 Peter 5:6-7 AMP

Before we knew the Lord we used to carry our burdens for ourselves. After knowing the Lord we don't need to continue carrying them because Jesus has already offered to carry them for us. Life becomes too difficult for people who carry all the burdens for themselves without the help of the Lord.

There are some people who tried to fight the burden of sin for themselves and ended up sinning again and again. There are some people who wanted to overcome certain behaviors by their own strength and find themselves developing others bad attitudes on top of that. This proved that a mere man cannot fight sin and his weaknesses by his own strength alone and hence he needed a supernatural power to help him overcome.

Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Jesus offered help for everyone who think is overwhelmed with matters of this life and who can't continue fighting them alone. Later Apostle Peter encouraged the saints and all who wanted to enter into the family of God that they should cast their worries and cares on Him. This includes all life misfortunes and discouragements from people who don't know God.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to cast your burdens on Jesus; because He cares for you. He is the only one who can really understand your pain, help you overcome your fears and give you peace that surpasses all understanding. He is the good Lord; He will lift you up from all your misery if you will give Him a chance to have total dominion over your life.

The Psalmist David says the following: Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail), Psalms 55:22. I pray that you may give
the weight of your burden to the Lord today and that you may experience His rest in your soul.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm casting my burdens into You all Lord. I'm asking that You may give the rest that I desperately need in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
