YOUR FAMILY WILL BE SAVED

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

One of the devil's battle fields is our families. I have seen the devil fighting with all of his devices to destroy different families around the world. Some of us were born in families that were worshiping false goods. Families that were keeping things that are ungodly inherited from our fore fathers who did not know God or purposely rejected Him.

There are behaviors and weaknesses that they have been passed down generations to generations in our families. The devil has been putting demons in every generation in our families to ensure that his interest are protected and passed on that particular generation. I believe half of the problems that we face as individuals are the consequences of the covenants that our fore fathers entered with demons whether knowingly or unknowingly.

Joshua made Israel choose between the false gods that their ancestors where serving beyond the Euphrates and true God, the God of Israel. He said, as for him and his household, they would serve the Lord. He knew that there will be no future for Israel if they would continue to embrace foreign gods who would neither speak nor move; the gods who were made by wood, silver and gold the works of human hands.

This morning, I am here to encourage you to pray against all false gods in your family. You are in Christ now; you have been given authority by Jesus Himself to pull down every kind family stronghold that has been holding your family captive. You need to plead the blood of Jesus to every member of your family, and demand for their soul to be saved from the life of sin.

You don't want to go to heaven by yourself; you need your father and mother to go with you. You need your brothers and sisters to be with; you need even the distant relative to enter in that City of gold with you. Then you need to stand up and pray for their salvation; you need to demolish the altars of false gods in your family and build the foundation of the true God. It's your call, no angels will come from heaven to help you in this, and this is your assignment so do it for the sake of unsaved loved ones.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your word. Lord I'm asking that You may give me strength to pray for my family. Lord grant me that conviction I need that I may continue to push in prayers until something of You is born in my family. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
