MESSAGE OF RECONCILIATION

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.  For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 NLT

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to us with the message of reconciliation; He came to us with the mission of reuniting the lost man with God. He came preaching the forgiveness of sin to everyone who will believe; and He forgave all of those who received His message.

Apostle Paul says, anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun. Our Lord came to take away the old self that was full of sin; and give us a new heart and spirit that is designed to serve God in all situations. He gave us the heart that will fulfill the will of the Father, and worship Him always.

This God who gave us the gift of new life in Christ Jesus, He has given us a task of reconciling people to Him. In other words we need to spread the message of reconciliation to others people who don't know the Lord. The message that God forgives, gives new life and He is no longer counting people's sins against them.

This morning, I want to encourage you to tell someone that our God forgives sins. Many are living in guilty because of what they did in the past. Some are living in sin and they don't know how they can free themselves from the bondage of sin. God needs you to spread the Good News of the Gospel that in Christ Jesus there is forgiveness.

You received our Lord Jesus Christ and you have been forgiven because someone was bold enough to share with you about our Lord Jesus. There was a person who obeyed God, and told you about the forgiveness of sin that is found in Christ Jesus; that's why today you are free! I want to ask you to share with someone today. Tell someone about Jesus, share with them about the message of reconciliation; and the Spirit of God will guide you all the way for His glory.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm asking that You may give me boldness to share with others about the forgiveness of sin that is found in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
