Morning with Ebenezer

LEARN FROM THE PAST

“Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.”’ But they did not hear nor heed Me,” says the Lord.

Zachariah 1:4 NKJV

In life we learn every day, there is something new to learn every day. We learn through different people and situations in life. Nothing happens in our lives by accident, everything comes to teach us something and leave us with an experience that will serve as a great teacher always.

If we will develop the art of learning from our past then we will be able to make sound decisions in our lives. Many of us are reading the word of God but we don't real learn from it. That's why our lives continue being the same and we don't experience the touch of God that we hear other experiences.

The Bible says, "A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, Proverbs 1:5. I believe if people of God will follow all the instructions they hear and learn from what they are being taught by the servants of God. The church would be so powerful and we would work in the supernatural power of our God. I believe one of the reasons that are causing the lack of power in the church is because people of God don't want learn from their past.

This morning, I want to encourage you to learn from the past. You will be in a better shape few years from now; if you will look back and make sure you that the past doesn't repeat itself. If you have experienced broken relationships in the past, then you need to be sure before allowing anyone to enter in your life.

If you had some friends who influenced you to make bad decisions in the past, then you shouldn't give them the same access that you gave them in the past. Life will be more easily if you learn from your past mistakes and let them go. May the Spirit of Jesus give you wisdom you need that you may use all what you learn everyday to improve your life and be prepared for your future.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, help me to learn from my past that I may gain the heart of wisdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
