Morning with Ebenezer

LIVING FOR GOD

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,

Colossians 1:9-11 NIV

There is a life God intended us to live after we have received Him; new life in Christ Jesus which is different from the life of this world. The life that is worthy of the Lord in which we will please Him in every way. This life involves saying no to sin and accepting the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ in our lives.

It is the life which involves our total dependence on the Holy Spirit. The life where we surrender our will and desire to Him who gave His life for us. This life is where we learn to forgive, receive forgiveness; and letting go our past no matter how much pain we experienced in it.

It is the life where we live by faith and trusting God for our tomorrow regardless how things look like today. The life that we learn to be patient with everyone, love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. It is the life that we overcome sin, cast out demons and break every curse that the devil has put in our lives.

This morning, I want to encourage you to continue living for God. I know that sometimes Christian life can be challenging; and you may be tempted to simplify it by living like anyone else out there. I want you to know that soon very soon we are going to see the King. It won't be long till we'll be leaving here, It won't be long we'll be going home.

When we go there, we shall be like Him. We will look just like our Lord Jesus Christ. He will wipe all of our tears and give us an eternal rest. I want to encourage you my friend to continue trusting Him. Don't give room to the devil that he may destroy your life through the deception of sin. Live the life that you have been taught in Christ Jesus and the Lord will never leave you or forsake you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm asking that You may help me to live according to your word. Lord give me strength to overcome sin and the deception that comes with it. Help me to be faithful to you until death that I may inherit your Kingdom in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
