Morning with Ebenezer

THE BLOOD OF CHRIST

The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean.  How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

Hebrews 9:13-14 NIV

Someone one day sang these words: "What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; what can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! Precious is the flow, that makes me white as snow; no other fount I know, nothing but the blood of Jesus."

The writer of the Book of Hebrews says under the Old Testament the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of young cows could cleanse men's bodies from sin; just think how much more surely the blood of Christ will transform our lives and hearts. Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant between God and people, and His sprinkled blood speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.

This blood will soothe your doubts, calms your fears and dry all of your tears. It will give you strength to face every new day and overcome every challenge in life. There is a power in the blood of Jesus, the power to set you free and deliver you from the power of the enemy.

This morning, I want to encourage you to plead the blood of Christ over your life. We need to learn to plead the blood of Jesus everyday over family and all of those we love. The blood of Jesus will work in a miraculously way inside of them. It will protect them from the enemy and give them peace that the world cannot give them.

If you are the only one who knows God in your family; you need to know that you have a responsibility of praying for others and lead them to the Lord. You don't have to be a preacher to influence others to the way of the truth. Your Christian life style can be more than enough to influence your unsaved loved ones to see the Lord who you serve inside of you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I plead the blood of Christ over my immediate and extended family. I plead the blood of Jesus over my church family and the body of Christ as a whole. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
