Morning with Ebenezer

OVER-SHARING

Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.

Proverbs 17:28 NLT

In life we come across with many different people. There are those people who come in our lives and add something on it. There are others who come to take whatever we have and destroy whatever beauty we posses inside of us.

These people may come as friends, distant relatives, colleagues, fellow brethren and the like. These people may come with pure heart and some may come with hidden agendas. There are some who come to spy us and take away the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. They want to enslave us and force us to follow their religious regulations.

As Christians we need to ask God to help us discern the agendas of people who come in our lives. We need to be able to understand what they want from us before we gave them any access in our lives. There are some people who we gave them too much access and they used it against us. They ended up hurting us by spreading what we told them in confidence to other people.

This morning, ask our Heavenly Father to give you wisdom on how to interact with every person who comes in your life. We won't be able to understand the agendas of all people who come in our lives; but we can depend on Holy Spirit to lead us on how we can to share our information with people. We have Christians who have the problem of over-sharing; they tend to tell other people including strangers about what they are going through in life.

If you have a problem of over-sharing especially on Social Media sites; then it's about time you ask the Lord to give you a self control. You need to know that no one is interested with your personal life; so you might as well stop sharing it with the public. If you will learn to distinguish between your personal life and public life; then you won't end up embarrassing yourself every now and then by sharing too much to people who you don't even know.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm asking that You may give me wisdom that I may know how I'm supposed to interact with people. I'm asking that You may grant me the fruit of self control through your power of Holy Spirit that I may know when I'm supposed to talk and when I'm needed to keep quiet. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
