Morning with Ebenezer

LOVE THE LORD

Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

1 John 2:15-17 NLT

The Bible warns us about loving the world and all the things it offers. If we will love the world, the love of Father will not be in us. We cannot love both the world and the Father at the same time; in other words we cannot serve this world while we are serving the Lord.

We have Christians in the Church who crave for the things of this world. They crave for all kinds of physical pleasure including sex, the desire to buy everything that appeals to them, and they walk in pride that comes from their achievements and possessions. All of these are not from the Father but are from the world.

This world is passing away, and these evil, forbidden things will go with it, but whoever keeps doing the will of God will live forever. I don't know what things have been pulling you away from the Lord. I don't know what kind of sin has been has been slowing down your progress in the Lord; but I know the Lord is willing to help you overcome all.

This morning, make a decision to love the Lord. I know that there are many things that tempt you to go back to the world or sometimes to live as the way people of the world do. But I'm here to encourage you to continue holding fast what God has given you through Christ Jesus.

You need to continue to live your holy life style in Christ Jesus. Continue to pray, fast, praise and worship the Lord every time you get a chance. Sometimes people may come and treat you unfairly; but that shouldn't make you stop treating them right. You need to stick on what you have been taught in the Scriptures and be the salt and the light of your world.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, forgive me for where I have loved the world more than You. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to love You in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
