Morning with Ebenezer

YOUR PRAYERS MATTER

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Philippians 2:3-4 NIV

We read in the Books of the Gospels how Jesus cared and prayed for His disciples and other people who came to Him. He prayed for everyone who had needs and prayed for the future of His disciples; and the Church as the whole. The Bible tells us that He is before the Father right now praying for us.

We are being encouraged to follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, to love like Him, live like Him and walk in His ways. He was the perfect example on how our lives should be as His followers. In our lives we have different people who have different needs. We have people who struggle in many things and who could use our love and prayers.

Sometimes we find ourselves being so selfish and forget completely about others. We have Christians who pray those bless me, bless me kinds of prayers. These Christians want to have all and they mainly forget to pray for others who are truly in need. It is not possible to help everyone in your life; but you can pray for every person who is in your life.

This morning, I want to remind you to pray for other people who are in your life. We are called to pray for things to change and not to complain about everything. The enemy is still at work; he still causes chaos in this world and infects fear in the hearts of many. Many people of this world live without hope; we need to give them hope because we have known Christ who is the source of our hope.

We need to encourage others with the same encouragement that we receive in Christ. Your prayers can make the huge difference in the lives of many people. God will honor your prayers and save many from destruction. I want to encourage you to continue praying for your family, relatives, friends, and the Church as a whole. Know that your prayer matters and God is listening to them.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, help me to pray for others. Give me the heart of loving others, understanding their pain and be willing to help them. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
