Morning with Ebenezer

BE PATIENT

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.

1 Peter 1:6 NLT

In Christ we are called to be patient, the Bible teaches that patience is the fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22. Patience is not developed overnight; it takes a while for Christian to develop that virtue. When we are tested is where we need to be patient knowing that the Lord will come for our rescue.

Patience is needed when our children start to act up, when your boss start to treat you unfairly; and your in-laws start to despise you with no good reason. You need to be patient even with your coworkers who don't agree with your faith. You need to learn to be patient with your significant other when he/she does things against your expectations.

We need to be patient with the Lord, waiting for His promises. Sometimes the promises of the Lord seem to take forever to come to pass. We may fail to wait for Him and start seeking other alternatives. We hear stories of young women who believed God for husbands in the Church; and when those husbands seemed to take long time to come to them. They decided to accept any men who came to them even those who didn't know the Lord. As the result the marriage life become a snare for them.

This morning, I want to remind you to be patient. Be patient with those who mistreat you, don't try to jump and get your revenge; remember the vengeance is not ours but the Lord's. If your children are acting up and doing things that you didn't teach them when they are growing. Then know that there is something behind them that make them be that way. Then start dealing with that thing which without question is in the mission to destroy them and you will see them change.

If it happens that your boss starts to treat you unfairly, and does all kind of things to make your life a living hell at the office. Don't bother to fight with him/her in the flesh, but commit him/her to the boss of bosses Jesus Christ who will make sure you are being treated right. God has ability to replace your boss if he/she mistreats you. What you need is to do your work, and let the good Lord take cares of your boss; and anyone who pick a fight against you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm asking that You may help me to be patience with all people in my circle of influence. Give me wisdom to deal with people who annoy and mistreat me purposely; and strength to pray for them that they may change their behaviors. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
