USE SONGS
Remember what Christ taught,
and let his words enrich your lives and make you wise; teach them to each other
and sing them out in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing to the Lord
with thankful hearts.
Colossians 3:16 TLB
The Psalmist David says,
"I have thought much about your words and stored them in my heart so that
they would hold me back from sin, Psalm 119:11. He stored the word of God in
his heart that he may walk right before the Lord for the rest of his days.
Paul the Apostle encouraged
the Colossians to remember what Christ taught. He told them to let His words
enrich their lives and make them wise. He encouraged them to teach them to each
other and sing them out in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing to the
Lord with thankful hearts.
This word can be applied to
us today. We need to remember what Christ taught us, allow his words enrich our
lives and tap the wisdom that if found in it. We need to teach it to our
children and put it into songs that we may be able to remember them all the
time.
This morning, I want to
encourage you to sing psalms, hymns and other spiritual songs that you may
improve your prayer life. Songs can help us enter into the presence of the Lord
especially after a long day. If you are experiencing difficulties in your
prayer life, spiritual songs can help you reach somewhere in the Spirit where
you will experience the real touch of God.
This year try to do your
level best to improve your prayer life. If you will be able to pray according
to the will of the Father, then you will experience the unique touch of God.
Learn to pray for yourself and stop depending on people to pray for you. If you
want to see changes in your life, then you need to ask God for those changes.
You need to learn to be independent and seek the face of God that He may reveal
Himself to you according to His plan in your life.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by
faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Father, help me to
improve my prayer life this year. I want to see you through my prayers and
experience your presence. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
