DEFEND YOUR FAITH
Dear friends, I really wanted
to write to you about the salvation we share. But now I feel I should write and
ask you to stand up for the faith. God’s holy people were trusted with it once
and for all time.
Jude 1:3 NIRV
We are called to contend for
the faith which was given to us once by the Lord Himself. Many people stand and
defend what they believe in, we see even satanic worshipers stand and defend
their faith. People who worship idols defend what they believe and even atheists
defend their decision of not believing in the existence of God.
Many Christians don't like to
talk about their faith especially when they are before people who don't believe
what they believe. They don't like to defend their faith even if there are
people who speak false things about it. They are too modest to defend the name
of Jesus, the Cross and the precious blood of Jesus.
Jesus said, "If anyone
is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son
of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father's glory with the
holy angels." Many of us are ashamed of Jesus and His words; we don't want
to be known as born again Christians. Jesus will be ashamed of those people
when He comes in His Father's glory with the holy angels.
This morning, I want to
remind you to stand up for your faith. If you believe in our Lord Jesus Christ,
then don't be afraid to confess it; and make it known to all people in your
circle of influence. It will help to be caution and continue walking in the will
of the Father; because all people will wait to see your commitment to the Lord.
Stand for Jesus; stand for
the word of God. Share the word where you are needed and pray for anyone who asks
for prayers. If you have accepted Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life,
then you need to walk in the light. You need to be whether hot or cold but not
a lukewarm. When you sin, repent without justifying anything because the Lord
sees it all.

Pray this prayer with me by
faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Father, forgive for
where I have failed to defend my faith. Help me to defend You no matter what
the cost may be. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
