SAVE YOUR SOUL
For what profit is it to a man
if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in
exchange for his soul?
Matthew 16:26 NKJV
Sometimes you may be tempted
to choose things of this world against the things of God. We hear stories of
people who wanted to get wealth of this world. They end up selling their souls
to the devil that they may gain the temporary wealth of this world.
There are women who gave
themselves to powerful men that they may get a chance of better life. We see
politicians who use their influences to take advantage of poor people in the
society. They tend to increase their wealth through corruption and abuse the
power of their offices. They live lavish lives while the majority of their
people live in unspoken poverty.
We have preachers who
concentrate on showing off their success in terms of material wealth and forget
about the spiritual states of the flocks. There is a huge gap between rich and
poor in the Church of Jesus Christ. The Church is not paying attention to the poor;
ministers are seeking to be rich and famous more than to live according to the
will of God.
This morning, I want to
encourage you to choose saving your soul. Whatever decision you will encounter
in life it will involve both doing what is right and wrong. You need to always
choose doing what is right before God even if it doesn't sound right before
men. Sometimes what is right may sound old school and odd but if it the will of
God will bring forth good fruits.
Read the Bible and follow the
example of our Lord Jesus Christ. Learn to let the Holy Spirit of God lead you
in the right path. Give a room to the Spirit of God to take control over your
life. When you wake up every day learn to surrender everything to Him and let
Him be God in your life.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by
faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Father, I will work hard
to do your will in my life. I'm asking for more grace that I may live according
to your will in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
