Morning with Ebenezer

KINGDOM OF GOD

Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.  If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

Matthew 12:25-28 NIV

Pharisees accused Jesus that He cast out demons by the help of Beelzebul the prince of demons. Jesus answered them by saying, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.  If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?

First of all we learn that there is a kingdom of God or we can say the kingdom of light. There is also the kingdom of Satan or in other words the kingdom of darkness. Both these kingdoms are active and work day and night to bring harvests in their kingdoms.

As the way God is busy sending His servants throughout the world day and night that they may preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Satan is busy also sending his agents and demons to ruin the lives of all who will be trapped by his charms. Jesus drove demons by the power of Spirit of God; this is was an initial sign for us that the kingdom of God was in control over the affairs of men. It was a direct message to us that Satan was no longer powerful as he used to portray himself before Jesus came.

This morning, I want to encourage you to choose the kingdom of God over the kingdom of darkness. Sometimes the kingdom of darkness comes with many things that they can deceive you. It always offers temporary pleasures that can make you feel comfortable and accept for a while; but it later causes permanent damages that no one can undo them unless God intervene.

Serving God and obey the rules of the kingdom may seems to be boring and less exciting sometimes. In a long run it brings forth profit that is more than what the riches of this world combine can offer you. Sometimes the profit of serving Christ doesn't seen over night but indeed if you will patient enough; one day you will reap the harvest that will add no sorrow in it.

****Morning Prayer***

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I want to serve You with everything in me. Help me to serve you and stand for You in all the days of my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
