Morning with Ebenezer

KEEP THE FAITH

“People will insult you and hurt you. They will lie and say all kinds of evil things about you because you follow me. But when they do that, know that great blessings belong to you. Be happy about it. Be very glad because you have a great reward waiting for you in heaven. People did these same bad things to the prophets who lived before you.

Matthew 5:11-12 NIV

Do you remember the first days you gave your life to the Lord? Did people in your circle of influence approve your decision? Did they agree with you or resisted you? After changing your life and start living for God, what happened?

I have heard many testimonies from people who faced a lot of opposition from family members and people they once trust after they received Jesus. They were insulted and hurt by the people who they loved dearly. These people said all kinds of evil things against them because they followed Jesus.

Jesus encouraged us that if people do that for us, we need to know that there are great blessings stored for us in heaven. The Lord sees all those people who have been mistreating you all these years. It may seem they get away with it but God will judge them according to their deeds.

This morning, I want to encourage you to keep the faith despite of opposition that you may be facing. Sometimes people laugh at us and call us names because we have chosen to give our lives to the Lord. I believe you made a wisest decision the day you decided to live for God so peace be still in you.

Do not be afraid with the words of the people; keep on looking on Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith. There is a great reward ahead of you; God will give you peace that the world cannot give you.  Don't lose your confidence, continue being strong in the Lord while doing His will in your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, when I'm afraid I will trust in You; and I won't be afraid of mere men. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
