LUKEWARM
I know your deeds, that you are
neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you
are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16 NIV
We have people in the church that
changes as they change environments. There people who tend to be strong
Christians when they mingle with devoted Christians. They tend to be like
people of this world when they find themselves in the middle of people who don't
trust in Jesus.
They have what I call chameleon
kind of spirit. They tend to change as they change the media, and this causes
them to live a lukewarm kind of life. They can't commit one hundred percentages
to the Lord because they still love the way of the world.
These are people who start
things and lack the courage to finish them. They tend to repeat the same
mistakes over and over again because they don't learn from their past mistakes.
Some of these people have been Christians for years but they don't seem to
mature and grow in the Lord as they ought to.
This morning, I want to
encourage you to follow Jesus footsteps. Jesus was obedient to His Father; He
followed all what His Father instructed Him. You need to learn to obey the
Father too; obey the word of God while keeping all instructions which the
Spirit of God gives you.
If you profess that you are
Christian then you need to back it by your actions. You need to remain the same
no matter what environments you find yourself into. Don't let your friends and
other people in your circle of influence make you to be less effective in your
commitment to the Lord. Refuse to live a lukewarm kind of life but continue
living a holy life in Christ Jesus.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by
faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Dear Father, I want to live
like your Son Jesus Christ. Help me to live the life that I have been called to
live in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
