Morning with Ebenezer

TURN TO GOD

If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.

Proverbs 3:5-6 TLB

Someone once said, "Only God can turn a mess into a message, a test into a testimony, a trial into a triumph, and a victim into a victory. God is the one who perform miracles, sign and wonders in all the earth. He is the one who raise the righteous up and humble down the wicked.

If you are looking for changes in your life this year, then you need to turn to God. There are some people who wanted to achieve some goals last year. For some reasons they failed to achieve what they anticipated and they were disappointed.

When we say to turn to God it doesn't mean to repent alone. It means to turn your life around, to stop doing things that led you to sin. This includes staying away from friends or environments that caused you to error. This also involves asking God before doing anything, whether you want to invest in a certain business or apply a job. This will give God a chance to get involved in your plans and help you reach where you desire in life.

This morning, I want to encourage you to turn all your fears and cares to God. Sometimes it seems easily to tell your friends what you are going through than telling God. Most Christians face different problems and uncertainties in life but they tend to share their problems more with their friends than God.

God is being treated as the last person to go to when all plans fail. The Bible teaches us to trust the Lord completely, not ever to trust ourselves. In everything we do, to put God first, and he will direct us and crown our efforts with success. May the Lord help you to act according to His word that you may prosper in everything you do.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I will put you first in everything I do. Help me to walk according to your will in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
