Morning with Ebenezer

YOUR NAME IS WRITTEN IN HEAVEN

However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

Luke 10:20 NIV

The Bible says our sins made us to be seen as dead souls before the face of God. The time we were living in sins, we were dead in the sight of God. God had to send His Son that He may come to save us from death to life. The time we accepted the truth of the Gospel and received Jesus as the Lord and Savior of our lives. Our names were written in heaven.

Our names were written among the living, those who will never face what is called the second death. This is the death after the death of this flesh; the death which will occur to all who rejected Jesus in this life. They will be cast in the lake of fire which was prepared for Satan and his angels. They will burn forever and ever.

It will be different for those who accepted Jesus in this life. First they will be seen in the record of the book of life; including the records of all good things which they did. They date which they accepted Jesus, and the time which they served the Lord faithful in this world. They will be counted worth to inherit the Kingdom of God. They will be the citizens of the new heaven and new earth after this present heaven and earth has passed away.

This morning, God wants You to know that if you accepted Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life; your name has been written in heaven. Everything which you do is being recorded, every tear which you shed is being counted and every prayer which you say is being collected. God is watching over you, and this should be the reason of making you rejoice always that God knows you name.

Just pause a minute and try to imagine that your name has written in heaven. There is a file with your name on it and the details about your life. There is a story of love between you and your Savior since the day you accepted Him. Start your day with joy, knowing in your heart that God knows your name and everything about your life.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I rejoice the fact that my name has been written in Heaven. I know that one day I will see you face to face. Help me to live the life worth of my calling that I may be worth to inherit the everlasting life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
