Morning with Ebenezer

OVERNIGHT SUCCESS

The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master. His master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord caused all that he did to succeed in his hands. So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had.

Genesis 39:2-4 ESV

If you will have a chance to hear the stories of successful men and women, you all have one thing in common that it did not take overnight for them to be where they are now. All of them will tell you how humbly they started, difficulties which they faced and failures in their attempt to pursue their dreams.

Some found themselves waiting for years to get the breakthrough in their businesses, talents and professionals. They faced every kind of obstacles and most of the time they felt like quitting and give up but there was something inside of them which did not give them peace to do so. They kept pushing even in the darkness trusting that the dew will at last come through.

It may be you have been pushing hard to reach somewhere in life; you are working hard that someday you may be someone in your world. Since your childhood the devil has been fighting you through diseases, accidents, rejection, abuse, death of your loved ones that you may not reach where Go+d wanted you to be. Maybe in one point you felt like giving up and decide never to pursue that dream of yours, but I have a word for you.

This morning, God wants you to know that the battle which you have been facing all this time was because of the thing which God put inside of you. The devil tried his level best to put you offline with God; because he knew if you will be online with God what is inside of you will be seen and bless others. He even sent people who abused you in order you may feel like you are nothing, and you can't reach anywhere.

The devil was after your self esteem, that's why he made sure that no matter what efforts your parents made to improve your life as the family would produce nothing. He wanted you to believe that you were born in poor family and you will die poor. He wanted you to believe that you will never study and reach the highest levels of education because no one in your family did so! He wanted you to believe that because no one got married and you will end up in the same direction.

What man thinks in his heart, so he is. He wanted to think that you are a looser that you may become one. He wanted you to think that you are a sinner, and you lived a life of sin. Your success will not come in overnight, there is a battle before your dew comes. But the Good news is this, the battle is not yours but the Lord's! He will fight for you and in his time you will be where He wants you to be.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may give me strength to continue pursuing my dreams; while knowing that You will fight for me and whatsoever you had put inside of me, will one day come to be seen according to your will. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
