Morning with Ebenezer

TEN COMMANDMENTS 6

“You shall not murder.

Exodus 20:13 NIV

Murder means the unlawful killing of one human by another, especially with premeditation malice. We this first murder was committed by Cain who killed his brother Abel. The blood of Abel was the first innocent blood to be shed on the surface of the earth.

From this first death, people started killing one another without cause up to day. There is a difference between to kill and to murder. As opposed to killing, murder in the taking of life without legal justification (execution after due process) or moral justification (killing in defense).

Jesus explained this commandment in Matthew 5:21-26, he said that we need to avoid  hating one another; because we can wish the death of someone in our hearts, but never have the courage to fulfill our desire. John the revelator says in first letter of John 3:15, ''Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.''

This morning, God wants you to know that hate in your heart is the pre 'act' of murder. If you have someone who you hate and you can't stand his presence, it means there is a seed of murder in you. You need to start crushing that seed by the blood of Jesus, and ask God to set you free from that prison  of hate in your heart.

For the people of the world having enemies and steering stiff is the talk of the day. For the people of God is different, the Bible teaches us to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, to do good to those who hate us, and pray for those who spitefully use us and persecute us, Matthew 5:44. This is the challenge for us who are in Christ Jesus, may God help us to face it and come with victory.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I release any kind of hate against anyone in me. Help me to forgive and forget all the wrongdoings which people did to me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
