Morning with Ebenezer

DIVISION

If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end.

Mark 3:24-26 NKJV

The Scribes accused Jesus that He was casting out devils by the power of Beelzebub, ''By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.'' Jesus asked them this question, ''How can Satan cast out Satan? Jesus was telling them that the kingdom of the darkness can not divide it's self to perform the work of light; because their purpose was only evil.

Jesus said if the kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If there will be enemies within the kingdom, it will reach a point when the ruler of that kingdom will be forced to step away from the throne and His enemies will rule. It will be the same if the house is divided against itself, that house will end up to be a broken home and it will never stand.

We have churches which are divided within, some members do not agree with what Pastor says and how he chose to run the congregation. Some ministers think there is partiality in describing funds and duties of the church. Some think they are not given a chance to exercise their gifts and talents; and hence they tend to have cold underground war with their leaders.

This morning, God wants you to know that it takes unity to stand anything which involves more than one person. If there are two people in agreement, they can achieve many things and reach far compare to hundred people who are in discord. Sometimes it takes people to agree in prayer that God may take a church, family or ministry from one stage of glory to another.

Agreeing means to give up your right to be right! Many families have been torn into pieces because the father and mother did not want to agree and hence they never stood. If there is division within the family, the devil will have the chance to go and put his agenda of separation and he will succeed. If there is division in the church, they will be many ministries which people will start just because they don't want to partner with so and so Pastor.

If the kingdom of Satan makes sure that it does not divide itself. Much more the kingdom of God, we need to walk in unity, pray for each other, love one another, being patient for those who are weak. Try our level best to choose what is noble before the eyes of God and our fellows in Christ. Forgiving one another, and keep encouraging each other to keep hold of our salvation as a day of the Lord comes near.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord please forgive me where I have been the source of division. Lord help me that I may live with unity with You and my fellow brother and sisters in Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
