Morning with Ebenezer

PAIN

In the same way I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born," says the Lord. "If I cause you the pain, I will not stop you from giving birth to your new nation," says your God.

Isaiah 66:9 NCV

Before a mother get to a point of delivery, there are sharp pains which proceed it. Before a baby comes out, a mother is troubled much. Some scream while others do moaning and grunting to relieve some pain. Then a baby comes out, a mother forget all the pains which she had  experience for the joy of the new born baby.

In life most of us have passed through painful moments, there are those nights which we lacked sleep at all and kept asking God, why? why should I go through this? Sometimes we stay awake thinking about those words which our confidants (people who we trusted) said against us. We sometimes think about those happy moments we spent with our loved ones; who are no longer in our sight and all of this makes us to feel the pain of loss.

The Bible says that, God will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born. In other words each pain  which comes in your life is the indicator that there is something new and more precious coming in your way. If you had been experiencing pain in your relationship and you went to God and pray that He may restore and heal it. God will come forth like a morning dew and put everything in its place and that person who used to trouble you will either undergo what I call metamorphosis change (complete transformation) or God will replace him with another one if it is within His will.

This morning, God wants you to know that pain which you have been going through is the indicator of something new in your life. For those who worked hard during the earlier stage of their lives, somewhere along the way found themselves succeed. For the pain which they had gone through brought forth success. Pain sometimes act like a teacher who brings us the wisdom of this life. Some of us would be knowing and fearing God now if we wouldn't pass through pain.

In other words pain teaches us to differentiate between what is important and what is common. Pain causes us to seek God and be submissive to His will. If you are going through pain right now, do not loose hope. Something new is being born through you, there is a new dimension of grace ready to come out of you. Trust God during these painful moments, and when He has done His perfect work in you; you shall mount with wings like eagle.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may give me the strength to sustain whatsoever pain which I'm going through right now. Knowing that through this pain something new will be born through me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
