ROBBING GOD

“Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.

“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’

“In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Malachi 3:8-10 NIV

There is a cry in the Church of Christ, the cry of financial freedom. Many believers have encountered financial problems which no one can no longer help them. Some reached a point where they said God will only bless us spiritually, and give us health physically but He can't bless us financially and hence they have stopped asking for financial blessings.

Those who started businesses, after a while found themselves getting loss and at the end of the day their loose hope if they will ever get freedom financially. We have believers who have a lot of debts, they are living on debts, they have to borrow here that they can pay there! Debts have been like an incurable diseases in some houses of those who call the name of the Lord.

In the Book of Malachi, the Prophet says something strange about those who were robbing God in those times. He says that they were robbing God through tithes (which is the tenth percentage of all of your gains) and offerings (something offered in our worship). This made them to be cursed because they robbed God. God argued them to bring the whole tithe into the storehouse (the house of the Lord, your local church which you worship), that there may be food in my house (for men and women of God).

This morning, God wants you to know that the financial freedom which you desperately need is direct proportional to tithes and offerings which you bring to his house. He wants you to know that He allowed to test Him by giving the tithes and offerings into the storehouse, and see if He will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough for you to store it.

Then He continues by saying after we give our ten percentage of all of our gains and offerings in His house. He will rebuke the devourer (the destroyer, the one who cause you to have debts all around); and He will not destroy the fruits of your ground (what you sow by the works of your hands). Start being faithful in giving your tithes today, give offerings to the house of the Lord. God will bless you beyond measure if you will start doing what His Word says.

You are destiny to reign, you are destiny to live lacking nothing in life. Start being obedient to the Lord in your finances and the Lord will be faithful to keep His Word. He loves you, He doesn't want you to continue living in debts, unable to meet your personal needs and that's why He has sent this message to you.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord please forgive me for being unfaithful in giving tithes and offerings, help me to be faithful in this, starting this day forward. I pray for the canceling of debts in my life, I speak for the financial freedom starting this day. I prophecy that this time next year I will have my total financial freedom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
