Morning with Ebenezer

THE SPIRITUAL WAR

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV

The salvation life is war; there is a constant struggle between the spirit and the flesh. Beyond that struggle which saints face in their daily lives; there is an actual war between forces of darkness in the spiritual realm against sons of God on this earth.

Paul the Apostle of Jesus Christ puts it this way in the Book of Ephesians, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. Paul says that our fight is not against flesh and blood, meaning we do not wage war against human beings but against powers, against rulers of unseen world, against spiritual armies of wickedness in the heavenly places.

We see in the Book of Second Corinthians Paul teaching the same things; although here he put more emphasis on how the war is being held. He says the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (world weapons) but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. These weapons destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. They capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. But these will take place after we have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient.

This morning, God wants you to know that the key for the success in the spiritual warfare is full obedience. Many of us have been fighting these wars, but all the time we ended up to be a defeated foe. We thought we could defeat the enemy by using the world of God alone, but we forget that we had to obey it too; then we could defeat Him.

Jesus overcame temptations of the devil in the wilderness by using the word of God. But that word was powerful to Satan because Jesus was obedient to His Father. He obeyed to the point of death, even the death of the cross. After His obedience, He was given the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11)

Start obeying God today, memorizing scriptures and knowing all the Book of the Bible it will profit you nothing; if you will not obey what is written. If you will fully obey the world of God, the same name of Jesus which you have been mentioning it all these years and brought no effect on you. It will start doing wonders before your eyes; it will unlock doors and pull down all strongholds which the enemy built in your life.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Please forgive me for being disobedient all this time; now I'm asking that You may help me to obey You fully. I refuse to continue walking in the disobedient in my life, from this day forward I will start obeying your Word. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
