DREAM KILLERS

Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. 

Genesis 37:5 NIV

Joseph was the beloved son of his father because he had been born to him in his old age. His brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him. Later he had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more.

This hate grew higher and higher until the day they sold Joseph to Ishmaelites for twenty shekels (about 230 grams) of silver, who took him to Egypt. The only mistake of Joseph was he shared his dream to what I call dream killers. He shared with people who envy him, and because they saw that he would be more prosperous than them, they hated him and finally sold him as slave.

In my own personal life I have met with those dream killers, people who wants to know more about what God has for you. These people are interested in knowing what God has promised for you but later when they see that you are given greater promise than them, they tend to find the way to kill your dream. When they can't kill your dream, they tend to speak words which will make you to be unacceptable in the community, that they may get a ticket to send you away from their midst.

This morning, God wants you to know that He is the dream resurrector. They rose people who said, because you came from a poor family and no one owned even a vehicle before, so you will never be able to have your own business. Some said your father and mother did not finish school or attend school at all so you will never get that P.h.D which you are dreaming about because there is no blood of education in your family.

These people killed those precious dreams in you, they destroyed your efforts for success and now you are down agreeing with their poisonous words. I have seen many struggling to keeping their marriages while fearing divorce because their parents divorced. And they think that they will never make it because they came from broken homes. 

God is able to rise your dead dreams in life, He will fulfill them in due time. People can put stumbling block to prevent you on reaching forth to your dreams but they can't stop t

he hand of God to help you fulfill them. Don't give up your dreams because of the dream killers, know this; God is the dream resurrector as He did for Joseph in Egypt, He will do for you too! Start dreaming again, it is not too late.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I will start dreaming again, I will start looking forward for my dreams to come to pass. I forgive all who had discouraged me all this time, I will look on you alone and never give up until I see all my dreams come to pass. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
