MAY HE MAGNIFIED

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God,  just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

1 Corinthians 10:31-33 NKJV

I have lived with some people who profess that they love the Lord but each day they do something to make others stumble. There are people in the Church who like to dominate everything and have holier-than-thou attitude. Some of these people are in leadership positions; they think that no one sees what they are doing because nobody seems to rebuke their behaviors.

Paul taught the Church of Corinthians that whether they eat or drink, or whatever they do, they should do all to the glory of God. This means that God should be seen on whatever they do in life. Their sole purpose should be letting God be magnified in their lives. This will help them not to offend anyone in their circle of influence. During that time the Corinthians were living with the Jews, themselves were the Greeks and they have their fellow brethren who were Christians.

We are living in the world that is monitoring everything Christians are doing. You may think the world doesn't care about you, but you are wrong. That's why when our leaders do shameful things you will see them in all the newspapers, magazines, blogs and Social Medias. Our conduct before the unbelievers should be a good one that they may be drawn to the Lord when they see the hope that we have in Christ.

This morning, I want to ask you to let God be magnified in everything you do. Let God get the glory in your job, by arriving there on time and make sure you work as hard as you are expected. If you are a successful young man, you need to stop seducing every girl you come across with. Wait for the Lord to bring a right woman in your life; in the mean time respect each woman in your life as your sister in Christ Jesus.

Give God glory in your words, if you have cursing lips. Ask the Lord to clean your lips and set you free from the spirit of insult. There are some people who will be saved by watching your attitude towards them. If you have a Christ like attitude, you don't know have to tell people that you are a Christian; they will see it through your actions.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, forgive me for where I have sought my own glory. Lord help me to seek You to be seen in everything I do that all the glory may come to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
