Morning with Ebenezer

VISION KILLERS

One night Joseph had a dream, and when he told his brothers about it, they hated him more than ever. “Listen to this dream,” he said. “We were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!”

His brothers responded, “So you think you will be our king, do you? Do you actually think you will reign over us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dreams and the way he talked about them.

Genesis 37:5-8 NLT

God showed Joseph the destiny of his life. He showed Him a vision of his latter days through dreams. Joseph was so excited and he went straight to share his dream with his brothers.  Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children because he was the son of his old age, and he made him a robe of many colors.

When his brothers saw that their father loved Joseph more than all of his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him. When Joseph went to them with the dream that showed that he will be greater than them one day. They hated him all the more because of his dreams and they he talked about them. Joseph used to report to his father some of the bad things that his brothers were doing.

The Bible has recorded all of this to show us the consequences of sharing our visions to wrong people. As we know Joseph ended up to be sold into slavery by His brothers. They hated him so much and they couldn't stand him and decided to get rid of him. I don't know who you have shared your vision with; but I'm sure some of them have already sent you to into slavery. This is because they couldn't handle the fact that one day you will be greater than them.

This morning, I want to caution you not share your vision with everyone you come across with. I know you are so excited because of what God showed you. You want to share with everyone that maybe you may be seen you are too spiritual; and you also receive visions from God. God didn't not give you that vision that you may share with everyone. He wanted you to pray to Him to give you people who will help you to fulfill that vision.

You need to sit down and wipe away all the discouragements, hatred words and all attitude vision killers gave you by the blood of Jesus. They said you will never make it, you don't have enough experience to see through the vision you have. Some said you are not qualified to carry that vision, or you came from a broken family so you can't make a good minister or leader. The devil is a liar, so his mother in law! If God showed you that vision, He will make it to pass. They may sell you into slavery, send you to prison but at the end of the day; they will find you in the palace. 

Don't be discouraged by what people have been saying against your vision. Don't be dismayed with the way they have been treating you and accuse you falsely. Don't worry for the way they took advantage of you and use your talents and gifts for their advantage. God is preparing you for highest position in the palace, before you get there struggle will come but don't lose heart. We shall continue tomorrow with our Vision Series, God bless you!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, give me wisdom when it comes on sharing my vision with other people. Help me to be cautious and listen to You before trusting anyone with my vision. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
