Morning with Ebenezer

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

James 2:26

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. We have been talking about faith for a while now. I believe up to now you have got two or three things that will you to increase your faith in some areas of your life.

Yesterday we looked the Lord's Prayer, Jesus taught us to pray and we are going to look the first few verses of that prayer. He said, “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. ‘Your kingdom come, Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. Jesus wanted us to pray His kingdom to come, to come on this earth. Many we were taught that we need to live right that we may go to heaven. It is true but before going there; God wanted us to live the kingdom standard on this earth. (Matthew 6:9-13)

There are some Christians who when received this doctrine of going to heaven to the Father. They stopped everything and decided to wait for the second coming of the Lord. They forget that they are still having life to live and responsibility of this earth. Here is where came the rise of generation of Christians who are broke; because they gave up on this life and just waited for another coming life. When they faced hardships, they send all the blames to the devil; but in the reality they didn't want to work and do anything hence they end up being broke. Their hardships have nothing to do with the devil but their laziness.

This morning, I want you to know that faith without works is dead. If you have the faith of calling things that you want to see 10 years down the lane; then you need to start working towards their fulfillment. The reason you didn't die when you gave your life to Jesus, it’s because you have a purpose to fulfill in this life. God wants you to pray for the kingdom of God to come in your area of influence.

God wants your family to be saved; God wants all of your loved ones to know Him. He wants you to influence your co-workers that they may believe the Jesus who you believe. God wants you to work hard and make enough money that you may help the efforts of spreading the Gospel around the world. Don't seat back and blame the devil for everything, use what you have in your disposal to change your life. You were born neither to be broke nor to lack the necessity of life. It is the will of God that you may prosper and faith alone is not enough it has to have works in it. We will continue with this Faith Series tomorrow. God bless you!

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to put works in my faith that I may be able to fulfill your will over my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
