Morning with Ebenezer

VISION STRUGGLES

So it was, when his master heard the words which his wife spoke to him, saying, “Your servant did to me after this manner,” that his anger was aroused. Then Joseph’s master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison. But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

Genesis 39:19-21 NKJV

Joseph was taken down to Egypt by the Ishmaelites that bought him from his brothers for twenty shekels of silver. Potiphar, an office of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him. The Lord was with Joseph and his master saw it, and Joseph got favor on his sight and he made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field.

Joseph was handsome in form and appearance, and after a while his master's wife took notice of Joseph and said, “Come to bed with me!” He refused, and he kept on refusing until it reached a day that his master's wife accused Joseph for attempting to rape her. Joseph was thrown in the prison by his master.

It was not enough for Joseph to be betrayed by his own blood brothers; but now he was in prison. What a bad luck someone could say! The Lord allowed all of this to prepare Joseph for highest position in the land of Egypt. I know that there are some of you who were betrayed by your friends, family or even lovers or spouses. Those people who were close to you, and meant a lot for you; but are the ones who sold you to your enemies.

This morning, I want to encourage you to look into God and focus on your vision. Despite all of the temptations that Joseph faced, he trusted God. He focused on the vision that the Lord gave him while he was still a teenager. He knew that who promised him is faithful and He will do it in His time.

I don't know what you are going through right now but I'm here to tell you that our God is faithful. He can make a way where seems to be no way, Joseph was in prison but the Lord made him a way to come out and go direct to the palace. I know you are maybe somewhere right now where you think you are finished and there is nothing left for you. I want you to stand up and look into Jesus who is the author and finisher of your faith. God hasn't done with you yet, trust Him today and He will make your vision come to pass. We shall continue with our Vision series tomorrow, God bless you!

****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to look into You in the time of temptations and trust You all the time knowing that You will fulfill what You have promised. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
