Morning with Ebenezer

VISION REVEALS YOUR DESTINY

So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.” Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. He had him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command, and people shouted before him, “Make way!” Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, but without your word no one will lift hand or foot in all Egypt.”Pharaoh gave Joseph the name Zaphenath-Paneah and gave him Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, to be his wife. And Joseph went throughout the land of Egypt.

Genesis 41:41-45 NIV

Destiny is a predetermined course of events considered as something beyond human power or control. People of this world believe destiny is what is written in the stars. For us people of the Most High God we believe destiny is what God had written for you even before you were born. God wrote everything about your life until the last chapter of it; and then He allowed you to be born that you can live starting the first chapter of His book to the last one.

God gave each one of us vision about our destiny in some point of our lives. There are some people who just wanted to work with wood; they loved building things by using wood. I believe God intended these people to be carpenters or work somewhere in the carpentry field. Most of the times because we want to make a lot of money, have a certain life styles then we don't want to follow where our vision leads us. That's why we have many people who are highly paid but they are not happy in their jobs.

Satisfaction and happiness come when someone starts walking in his/her vision. God intended Joseph to be the second most powerful man in Egypt. The only person who was above him was Pharaoh himself, the king of Egypt. When his time came, Pharaoh gave all of his authority to Joseph; he gave him his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph's finger. The Bible says, Pharaoh had him ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried out before him, “Bow the knee!” So he set him over all the land of Egypt.

No education or experience could give Joseph such kind of access if it was not God. It has to be God, who makes a way where seems to be no way! Joseph who was a Hebrew became the prime minister of Egypt. I believe if there was a prime ministry then he lost his job and that job was given to Joseph. These things God revealed to Joseph in his tender age, and he spent thirteen years in Egypt, partly he spent on Potiphar's house, and partly in prison. Joseph was thirty years old when His vision came to life and started walking in his destiny.

This morning, I want you to know that your destiny is hidden in your vision. If you want to know what God intended for you in your latter days; go back to the vision that He gave you. In that vision is where you will find the hidden future that God prepared for you before the foundation of this world. There are some of you who have been saying this to yourself, “I like to read all of these about the vision that God gave me; but I don't know what my vision is?” I have an answer for your question.

The Bible teaches us these things, “Thus says the Lord, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: “Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; and concerning the work of My hands, you command Me, Isaiah 45:11." If you don't know your vision, ask God to show you. He will tell you the things yet to come in your life though the power of His Holy Spirit.  We shall continue with our Vision series tomorrow. God bless you!

Dear Heavenly Father, I'm asking that You may reveal my life vision to me that I may be able to know my destiny. In Jesus’' Name, Amen.
