Morning with Ebenezer

HAVE FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD

And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.”

Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Acts 16:27-31 NKJV

Paul and Silas were imprisoned because they cast a demon out of a certain slave girl who was possessed with a spirit of divination. The Bible says, “But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.” (Ve.25-26)

The Bible continues by saying, and the keep of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.” Paul and Silas were ministries of the Gospel; they were imprisoned because of the testimony of Jesus Christ. In prison they continued giving praise to God, and put their faith in the Son of God.

The jailer asked Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Later the jailer was saved together with his family. Salvation entered in his house because he put his faith in the Son of God.

This morning, I want you to know if you believe on the Son of God salvation will come in your heart. The Bible says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." All those who put their faith in the Son of God; He gave them everlasting life. He will give you everlasting life if you will put your faith in Him. (John 3:16)

Faith in the Son of God produces forth salvation in one's life. If you do not believe in the Son of God then you will perish together with the devil, fallen angels, demons and all people who denied him in this life. Make sure that every day, every hour, every minute and every second; your faith is in Christ Jesus. Whenever you feel like you have gone astray, go quickly to Him and repent that you may have a good relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I believe in your Son Jesus Christ. I believe in the salvation that is found by faith in Chris Jesus. Help me to bear fruits worthy of my repentance in the rest of my days. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
