FAITH IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

John 16:13 NKJV

When Jesus went to heaven, He left with us His Spirit who dwelt in Him. It was the Spirit of God that enabled Him to do all the miracles, signs and wonders. It was the Spirit of God that gave Him wisdom than all scholars who came to challenge Him. The Bible says, “Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, Luke 4:1.”

Jesus followed and obeyed the leading of Holy Spirit that's why His ministry was operating in tremendous power. Although He was God but He learnt to be obedient to what the Spirit of God directed Him to do. He surrendered His will to His Father; and committed His ministry to the Spirit of God to help Him fulfill the will of the Father.

Many Christians believe in the Bible, believe in God the Father, and God the Son but they don't believe in the God the Spirit. Jesus said, “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life, John 6:63.” And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life." The life in our mortal bodies comes from the Spirit of God. He is the one who heals us and set us free from the power of darkness. Jesus said, “But if I am casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you, Matthew 12:28.”

This morning, I want to encourage you to have faith in the Spirit of God. We see that our Lord Jesus Christ had faith in the Spirit of the Father. He cast out demons through His power; He healed, set people free and proclaimed the eternal Gospel of the Kingdom through the power of Holy Spirit. When He came from the wilderness, He stood on the Synagogue and said these words: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me. To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted. To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed.” Luke 4:18

If Jesus put His faith in the Spirit of God; we ought to put our faith in the Spirit of God too! If we want to see God working supernatural in our lives, we need to change our thinking and start letting the Spirit take control. Jesus said when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide us into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority; but whatever He hears from God the Father He will speak; and He will tell us things to come. Put your faith in Him today and He, the Spirit will reveal Himself in your life.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Heavenly Father, I put my faith in your Spirit. Help me to live by obeying His voice everyday. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
