Morning with Ebenezer

HE DIED FOR US

Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.

1 Corinthians 15:1, 3-4 NLT

We are living in a generation that many young Christians don't understand about the cross and don't pay attention about the blood of Jesus. Many are deeply involved in getting blessings from God; and seek how they can somehow reap their harvest after they sow some seeds in their churches.

There are preachers who are out there preaching about kingdom prosperity; and how you can get yourself away from poverty by sowing seeds in their ministries. They use every way possible to convince people that they can live happily ever after they saw some seeds in their churches or ministries. Personally I'm not against sowing seed for the Gospel; but I'm against with some new preachers to use that as the only teaching in their services.

Some of these preachers live lavish lives and spend the money they get from faithful people of God in building their small kingdoms alongside the kingdom of God. There are some of them who don't even use what they get from their audience for the Gospel as they promised; but for their own private gains. As the result the church of Christ remains without power and lack good testimony in the community; because Christians are not being taught on how they are supposed to live a holy life in Christ Jesus and how they should act before unbelievers.

This morning, I want to tell you that the power of God if found in the cross of Christ and the blood of Jesus. Any accurate presentation of the Gospel comes down to the cross. You can talk about loneliness, and you can talk about hope and life beyond the grave. But it all comes down to the cross. - Greg Laurie

If you want to see the power of Christ in your life then you need to believe the message of the cross and the blood of Jesus. There is power in that simple message that transforms lives, and God anoints and blesses it, and uses it to penetrate in any defenses that people can put up. You may be a Gospel preacher but you can tell the story of what Jesus did on the cross and how He died and shed His blood for us. As Paul said: The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, thank You for the cross and the blood of Jesus. Lord I'm asking that you may help me to keep on holding the true teachings of the Gospel; that I may live a life of power and purpose in Christ Jesus my Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
