JESUS GIVES LIFE A MEANING
The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.
John 10:10 TLB
Many people seek meaning in life. There are many things that may tend to give us the meaning of life; but at the end of the day they don’t fulfill that within gape that is found in each one of us.
St. Augustine of Hippo once said, “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you”. He came to realize that material possessions, education, women, power, and money can’t satisfy the need of God within us. There is a life beyond fame, life beyond successful carrier and life beyond the things of this world.
We need Jesus in every corner of our lives. We need Jesus in our families, work place, marriage and every kind of relationships. If you enter in the marriage without the Lord you will one day end up in ruins; if you seek riches without the Lord you will end up doing things that are not pleasing the Lord and find yourself living in guilty.
This morning, I just want to encourage you to give your whole life and not only a part of it to the Lord. Let Him have full access of everything in your life. For example if your life is like a cell phone then give Him your phone password; and give Him access to read all the messages, receive all the calls, see all images and videos that people are sending you in your inbox.
Don’t say you have been born again and spirit filled person while you hang out with the people who don’t know the Lord. You act different when you are Christians and act like unbelievers when you are with them. You can’t live a lukewarm life and keep the fire of Holy Spirit in you at the same time. You need to choose Jesus and live for Him alone; if you commit everything to Him then He will give a meaning to your life.
****Morning Prayer****
Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer….
Dear Father, I need You in my life. I need to see You in every corner of my life. Lord I’m asking that You may touch me in the mighty way that my life may give glory to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
