Morning with Ebenezer

ARE YOU FORGIVEN?

How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.

Psalms 32:1 NASB

One of the questions that you need to ask yourself is: Are my sins forgiven? We have many good Christians who have been going to church since their childhood; but they are not sure if they have been forgiven.

These people practice religion, they do every charity work around; and many of them think they can earn salvation through their good works. One day Hal Lindsey said: The Ten Commandments were never intended to be used to work our way to God. The commandments were primarily given to show us how perfect we would have to be in order to earn acceptance with God by our own good deeds.

This is why God says to us, “Whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all” (James 2:10 NASB). It is easy to see in the light of this why the Bible says, “. . . by the works of the Law no flesh (man) will be justified in His (God’s) sight” (Romans 3:20 NASB). The law was given to show mankind why it needed a “suffering Messiah” who alone could make man acceptable to God.

This morning, I just want you to know that you need the forgiveness of Jesus in order to inherit the kingdom of God. If you will not repent your sins and give your whole life to the Lord; you will end up feeling good for doing your good deeds but none of them will earn you acceptance before God.

Jesus died that He may connect us to the Father. He is the way, and the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father but through Him. If you want to see the Father someday; then Jesus is your only ticket to Him. Give your life to Him and He will give you a right to be a child of God and inherit His coming kingdom.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer….

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for giving us your only begotten Son, that He may die for us. Lord I’m asking that You may give me strength to walk in this way of salvation; Lord I want see you one day. Help me to overcome every sin and obstacles that prevent me from living a holy life in Christ Jesus my Lord and my Savior. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
