DO
YOU PRAY?
Now when Daniel knew the document was signed, he entered his house
(now in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he
continued kneeling on his knees three
times a day, praying and giving thanks before his God, as he had been doing previously.
Daniel 6:10 NASB
King Darius signed a document
that made praying to Go to be against the law. This document was put into effect
and anyone who would disobey it will be punished by being cast in the den of
lions.
Daniel had been loyal to king
Darius. But he had a higher loyalty to God. That’s why he continued praying
even if it was against the law by kneeling on his knees three times a day,
praying, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before.
Many Christians like to be
prayed for rather than to pray for themselves. You will see all of them busy in
the Sunday services praying; but when they get out of those services they don’t
get to pray until next Sunday. That’s why many of us are weak and we don’t have
power to fight against sin and the things of this world.
This morning, I want to
encourage you to pray. Daniel prayed three times a day, and he made a good
example for us that we ought to pray to see the results we want in life. We
have Christians who are oppressed by the demons and struggles with many bad
behaviors. These folks don’t pray enough that they may get out of their
problems; and we as a Church don’t put much efforts into praying for them and
hence they continue to struggle.
Apostles of Jesus left a
praying Church, that’s why the Church prayed until the Angel broke out Peter
from prison in Acts 12:1-19. We need that kind of Church that will pray and
break her members out of different prisons in life. We need Christians who will
pray for their families, relatives and friends that all may inherit the coming
Kingdom of God.
****Morning
Prayer****
Pray
this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer….
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank
You for your word. Lord I’m asking that You may teach and help me to pray. I’m
asking that your Holy Spirit may keep on reminding me to pray every day that I’
m may live a victorious life in Christ Jesus my Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
