Morning with Ebenezer

LIVE FOR JESUS

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!

Philippians 2:5-8 NIV

We have many people who call themselves Christian but live against what the word of God says. These people pray, go to churches every week and participate in every religious activity; but their lives don't reflect what they believe.

These people treat others harshly and ignore the need of those who don't profit them anything. They like to be recognized as Christians and talk about Jesus; but their lives reflect another Gospel that is not God's. Being a Christian does not only consist having a Christian name, going to church and say to people that you are a believer.

Being a Christian involves living the life that Jesus commanded us to live. It involves loving our neighbor as the way we love ourselves. It involves our daily commitment to the Lord by living the life worth of our calling in Christ Jesus. This involves forgiving those who have wronged us and letting them go; and asking for forgiveness when we do harm to others intentionally or unintentionally.

This morning, I just want to encourage you to live for Jesus. You need to learn to preach Jesus both through your words and actions. Your personal life should reflect Jesus the crucified; you should live a true Gospel of Jesus through your actions. You need to set a good example to the new believers and those who are young in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

People want to see the Jesus in you through your actions and not through your words alone. Even if you sing, preach, pray or used by God in mighty way; if you have a bad attitude then it's like buying white bed sheets while you are still sleeping in a charcoal bed. Your attitude should be the same with what was in Christ Jesus, who humbled Himself, became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Dear Father, I'm asking for forgiveness for treating others in the way that is not right before You. Lord I'm asking that You may help me to treat everyone right; as your word commands me to do. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
