LED BY THE SPIRIT

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

Romans 8:14-15 NKJV

The Bible talks about people who are being led the by the Spirit of God; these are people who follows the direction of the Spirit of God in their lives. You can't be led by the Spirit of God if you haven't received Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life.

The day you receive Jesus the Spirit of God comes into you as the indwelling presence Holy Spirit. This indwelling presence of Spirit of God will make sure that you walk in the way of the Lord. He will guide you to follow the word of God and help you to stay away from the ways of this world. This indwelling presence will help you overcome sin and bring into your remembrance all what you are being taught about Jesus.

Then as you continue walking with the Lord, the Spirit of the Lord may come again into you as the infilling presence of Holy Spirit. Here is where a Christian is being filled with power of Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. This infilling presence of the Holy Spirit will enable you to pray and operate in the different gifts of the Holy Spirit as the Spirit determines. The Spirit of God will continue to fill you with His power every time you go before God that you may continue to walk in victory.

This morning, I want to encourage you to ask the Spirit of God to lead you in this life. There are many things that we need in life, there are many places we wish to go and many things we wish to do. In all of these things we need God to direct us to do those that are according to His will in our lives.

No one knows the will of God but the Spirit of God. Then we all need to hear from the Spirit of God that we may understand what we need to do with our lives. If you will follow your own understanding, you will end up getting loss in life; but if you will follow the Spirit of God, He will lead you in the right direction.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer...

Dear Father, I'm asking that You may send the infilling presence of your Spirit in my life. Fill my soul with the power of your Holy Spirit. Give me strength to overcome sin and live according to your commandments. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
