Morning with Ebenezer

HAVE FAITH

And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”

 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

John 20:26-29 NKJV

When Jesus rose from dead He was seen first with Mary Magdalene and later He appeared to His disciples. First day He appeared to them one of His disciples who called Thomas was not with them. When they told him that they have seen the Lord, he doubted and he said, ''unless I see the nail holes in his hands, put my finger in the nail holes, and stick my hand in his side, I won’t believe it.''(ve.24)

Later after 8 days Jesus appeared to them while Thomas was with them all and Thomas believed. Then Jesus said,''Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed. Thomas faith came to life when He saw the Lord himself but that was not a faith which the Bible says in the scriptures. The Bible talks about believing first without seeing, expecting first without having it yet, rejoicing as if it is here[what you prayed for] while you are still waiting. Thanking in advance before you receive your promise and proclaiming victory before the end of the war.

This morning you may be facing what Thomas faced in those days. There is a certain spirit which we call the spirit of doubt and unbelief; doubt is the state of having uncertainty about the truth, fact, or existence of something while unbelief is the state or quality of not believing; incredulity or skepticism,especially in matters of doctrine or religious. Some of us we doubt about many promises of God in our lives while others we don't believe at all that God will deliver us from our present situations.

This spirit works in the church today, it will make you first doubt the things of God. It will make you to waver if God can heal, if God can bless you or if you will be able to reach a certain level of success in your life. If things will continue to be difficult in your life this spirit will make you to start believing that the hand of God is not good enough to deliver you in your situation. Later it will start to plant the seed of unbelief in you that God can not do it, that you need to find other solution of your own rather than God. When you reach at that point things of God and His Word will produce no effect in you because of your unbelief.

The devil is a liar. In the kingdom we don't work that way, God wants you to have faith. No matter you are going through right now I have a word for you today that, ''Blessed are you who has not seen and yet believed. Keep believing, keep praying and fasting, your miracle is on his way to you and it won't delay anymore because who has promised is faithful.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for this new day. Lord I'm going against with the spirit of doubt and unbelief inside of me in Jesus Name, Lord I declare and decree that am free today from the bondage of doubt and unbelief.In Jesus' Name, Amen.
