CARRY ON YOUR CROSS

Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Luke 9:23 NKJV

How will  the world be now if Jesus wouldn't die on the cross? there wold be any Christians? Would we had churches? would we had Holy Spirit whom we have now?. Just imagine where would us who we once were sinners could be? Would we be able to  put our praise on and glorify God in our spirits? Would mankind be able to discover a way to overcome sin? Would he be able to find a cure for it or just at least a solution? Just think and imagine a little bit how do you think things would be?

Jesus on His way to Calvary, twelve hours before his crucifixion on the garden of Gethsemane the Bible says he faced a strong resistance from His own fresh. He wished that He could prevent to go on the cross; He prayed, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42). Later the Angel came and strengthened Him (ve.43), and He continued with the journey of our salvation and through His obedience to the will His Father, He saved us from sin and hell.

This morning I got a BIG time point to share with you. You may be passing in a certain situation in life right now; there are times which you wished you could just give up and leave everything behind and go on with your life without any commitments. May be you have asked God to take away that cup which you are drinking right now, you told Him that you have gone through enough and you don't want to face anything more and if He will allow more to come,you will even stop trusting Him.

If Jesus would give up there on the garden of Gethsemane and decided to call twelve legions of Angels to come to help Him against the Romans soldiers who came to arrest Him(Matthew 26:52-54). This would mean, we would continue living in our sins, there would be no hope in this world. We would be in the danger of spending the eternity in hell, the devil would continue to enslave mankind cause there would be no Savior and the Church to take authority against him. In short the world, my life, your life and everything which we can see by our eyes would be a living hell.

I have a good news for you this morning, God has sent me to tell you, ''He knows that you are tired, He knows that you wish to give up and your way seems to be very long; but as He sent an Angel to strengthen Jesus while He was heading to Calvary. He will send an Angel to strengthen you while you are carrying that cross of yours. God will give you new strength, don't give up because through your obedience of doing what you are doing  right now. Many will get to know God and glorify His name through your life.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that You may give me new strength to carry on my daily cross and follow You faithful.In Jesus' Name, Amen.
