Morning with Ebenezer

TAKEN BY FORCE

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

Matthew 11:12 NKJV

John the Baptist was the greatest prophet in the Old Testament than Moses who was prophesied by prophet Malachi as the coming messenger. Malachi said this messenger would tun the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers. He came in the Spirit of Elijah and proclaimed the arrival of Messiah who is Jesus to the people of Israel during that time.(Malachi 3:1,4:6)

Later Jesus while John the Baptist was in prison, He taught that the Law and Prophets climaxed to John, since then the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached and everyone is pressing to enter into it. This means that the kingdom was not for lazy and weak people who do not want to pay a price needed to enter the kingdom.

In the days of Jesus, the news about the kingdom got resistance from religious leaders of that time. They discriminated all people who agreed with the Gospel and many of them were killed and suffers a lot for the sake of the Gospel. John was put in prison and later killed because he rebuked The great king Herod Antipas who had relationship with his brother's wife, ( Mark 6:14-29)

Today, some of us we are facing opposition from our families, friends, church religious members, unbelievers, governments and medias for the sake of the Gospel. When it comes what is written in the Bible is different with what you are facing now in life, there by your faith is being tested. You may start having second thoughts on what the Bible says about you and look for compromising option.

This morning, I want to encourage you that the kingdom of God is taken by force. The devil will use every weapon of discouragement to force you retreat. God wants you to continue with your journey of salvation in Jesus, light is our momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond our comparison,( 2 Cor 4:17). Hallelujah, what a truth is this!

Do not leave Jesus because a boyfriend said he will not marry you if you will not sleep with him first, there is more important than marriage in life and if he will leave you just rejoice and be happy because it's better to deny yourself now and be accepted by God later. It's sad to accept the life of sin now and later to be rejected by God. The kingdom of God is near, Jesus will be coming soon to take His church, keep pressing on and continue being strong in the Lord in order when He comes, He may take you too with Him to His Fathers house in Heaven.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord am asking that You may help me to continue being faithful to You, no matter what trial will come to take me away from your precious Word and kingdom. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
