THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER-3

And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them.

Matthew 13:7 NKJV

There is a deception in our modern society which say that, you can't serve God in the days of your youth. Some believe that someone can be strong and devoted Christian when he reaches  a certain age in life. That's why we see the huge number of young people engage themselves in crimes, sex, drugs addiction, alcohol, early pregnancy and abortion and all that kind of risk stuffs out there.

Here we see those seeds which fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. This means this is he who hears the Word, but the cares of the world and the pleasure and delight and glamour and deceitfulness of riches choke and suffocate the Word, and it yields no fruit.( ve.22)

John the Revelator, if you like you can call him the Apostle of love wrote this in 1 John 2:14,''I have written to you, young men,Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,  And you have overcome the wicked one''. John knew that young people possessed strength which you couldn't find in any age in the society, he knew that through that strength they could keep the Word of God in their hearts and through that Word they overcame the wicked one.

This morning, I dare you to start meditating about your life style. Is there any worries of the things of this world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life which hinder that seed of the Word of God to grow in you?. It doesn't matter how long you have been a Christian or if you are not yet committed to Christ what do you think prevent you on pouring your whole heart before God.

If you are a young person, this is your time to commit yourself full to Christ Jesus. We have been given only today and we don't have the promise of tomorrow and the Bible says,'Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.' 2 Cor 6:2. This is the time to say no to the World deceptions and to allow the Word of God to takes it place in our lives that we may bear God fruits which will last.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I know that there are times which I have not been faithful in carrying out your Word in me. Now am asking that you may forgive me and gives me new strength to stand for your Word. In Jesus' Name I commit my life into You, Amen.
