Morning with Ebenezer

BE PATIENT

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

John 5:7-8 NKJV

One of the good example of the patient people in life are farmers. Any farmer first of all plant seed by faith and wait for them to grow and flourish in both autumn and spring rain until they rich the level of maturity. This process takes a lot of patience and trust to the provider of rain who is God that as He did last year He will do too this year.

During this time of waiting for the valuable harvest, it is not the easy to a farmer because he have to make sure that his farm is in a good condition. During this time the farmer makes sure that there is no weeds or any kind of unwanted plants which grow together with his valuable crops. In the mean time he makes sure that their is no any kind of bad animals who can come and eat his crops in the immature stage and cause him to get loss.

All this process the farmer does to get perishable products but also we need to work hard as much as the farmer does to get imperishable reward from God. When the Bible says we need to be patient, until the coming of the Lord. It means we need not only to wait His second coming on the earth patiently while contending for our faith daily; but also to be patient in our present situation until the Lord Jesus comes and help us to overcome what we are facing now in life.

The farmer waits for the early and latter rain, it is the same to us we should wait for the early victory which the Lord gives us first to overcome sin in us and later He help us to master the environment around us. We should make sure that the enemy does not destroy what God has planted in us and up root every kind of unwanted things in our spirits that we may have the best of the best in God.

This morning, God wants you to be patient, and stop murmuring and complaining. Whatsoever the situation you are passing through right now it only means that the seed in you is growing  to a level of maturity. In order to get the best crops in you need to be patient, you need to have faith that the same God who makes a farmer to receive the best crops after early and latter rain ;is the same God who will make you to have the best in this life and in the life after. Have faith and be patient the Lord is coming soon to meet your situation.
