Morning with Ebenezer

INSECURITY OF THE WICKED

I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree.
36 Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.

Psalm 37:35-36 NKJV

The Word insecurity means, the state of being subjected to danger or injury. This is where a person is not sure about life, having doubts, and he is in a realm of inadequately guidance and  protection. Security is the state of being free from danger or injury in other words is the opposite of a word insecurity.

The whole chapter of Psalm 37 talks about the security of those who trust in the LORD, and insecurity of the wicked[ sinners]. In his days, king David was troubled seeing the success of the people who don't fear God. He saw some kingdoms in those days like the great kingdom of ancient Egypt which succeed while her people were worshiping idols. There were some people in his kingdom who flourished in every way though they did not fear God.

In our days, we see some people who do not fear God but yet are the ones who owns major means of production.Some of us have been asking ourselves if God doesn't see this? Why do God let them to live and do their wickedness? Why they commit every kind of evil but still they are the ones who are favored in every corner? These questions they can be confused but thanks to God that the Bible had their answers long before me and you were born.

David saw the wicked in great power, and how was spreading himself like a native green tree. Later he came back and find that person is no longer there and when he searched he could not find him. God gives more time to the wicked that they may repent that's why he is so patient with them, but if they will not repent their wickedness will take them away. There is no peace in sinning, there is no security in killing innocent people, there is no joy in stealing and sexual immorality.

Do not trouble yourself because of sinful men. Do not want to be like those who do wrong. For they will soon dry up like the grass. Like the green plant they will soon die,(ve.1-2). This morning the Lord sent me to tell you that keep up with your faith in Christ, there are no true peace in getting high and pretend that every thing is alright in sins. The reward of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. In Jesus you have security, in Him there is true peace which beautiful woman, handsome man, prosperity or any kind of fame can not give you.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord I'm asking that you may help me to contend for my faith in Christ in this evil generation of ours.In Jesus' Name, Amen.
