Morning with Ebenezer

THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER-2

Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.
Matthew 13:5-6 NKJV

We have seen about the seeds which fell on the wayside, today we are going to continue to see another seeds which fell on the stony places, where there is not much soil. The plants sprouted quickly because the soil wasn't deep; but when the sun had risen, the young plants were scorched; and since their roots were not deep, they dried up.

Later Jesus came to give the meaning of this part of example by saying,''
The seed sown on rocky ground is like a person who hears the message and accepts it with joy at once, but has no root in himself. So he stays on for a while; but as soon as some trouble or persecution arises on account of the message, he immediately falls away. (ve.20-21, CJB)

There is something which Holy Spirit wants us to learn and understand this morning through those verses of scriptures. We all know that once in a while we have heard preachers, pastors and our fellow brethren talks about salvation as easy as drinking a glass of water during the the time of a hot sun in the middle of a day. In the real sense it is not easy as the way it seems because it involves hard work and sacrifices in it that you may attain what God wants you to achieve in this world and in the life after.

There are some of us who when we heard the message of salvation we received it with joy; but we did not understand the real cost of keeping and walking in that gift of salvation which we were given by grace through Jesus Christ. Later when the Evil one came to test us in our immature stage of faith we found ourselves returned to our old self (sinful life style) which we refused to be controlled by it once when we knew the Lord.

If you have been living that kind of life of backsliding, today is the day of saying enough is enough. Today is the day of starting afresh, today is the day of wiping away all dusts and continue with the your journey in your salvation. The Bible says in Proverbs 24:16a, ''A righteous person may fall seven times, but he gets up again''. Today is the time for you to rise up and to tell the Devil that, Enough is enough! I'm no longer your servant and in the name of Jesus I will not fall again.

****Morning Prayer****

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of salvation. Now am asking Lord that you may give me new strength to continue on my walk with You; I refuse to be back slider in all the days of my life in the Mighty Name Jesus I pray, Amen.
