Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.
Matthew 13:3 NKJV
This is one of the most known parable in the Bible. Here Jesus was explaining how the Word of God can bring different impacts to different groups of people. In this parable we have four groups of people who we will going to see them from the first one to the last group. Today we will start to see the first group in which the seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.
First of all we should know that the sower is God himself and the seed is the Word of God. This group contains those people who hear the Gospel and does not take it in, and it remains in the surface, and so the Evil one comes along and plucks it out right from their hearts. This is the group of people who have idea about heaven and hell and all other stuffs about Jesus but they don't take it serious and they just leave it the way it is.
This group are the one which like to be common or normal people. They don't resist to hear the Gospel but when they hear it they just leave it to the preacher. If they have somethings which they do not understand about the kingdom of God they just pretend like they are the passengers like all people in the church but they are just the escorts. They satisfied with what they know but in real sense they don't not know anything because even that they thought they know the Devil had already taken it from their heart so sad.
You may in that group this morning, or while you are reading this you have found yourself remembering someone who he is in this group. Maybe you have been thinking that you don't need to know more about God and all those stuffs about the kingdom and that's why you have been leaving the victim like life style. Everything which you are trying to accomplish in your life starts well but it ends in a bad way . You can't succeed without having the Word of God in you.
The Bible says in Proverbs 8:17,''I love those who love me, and those who seek me early and diligently shall find me''. If you will make up your mind to seek the Lord Jesus from today, ask when you do not understand the Word, obeying what the Word of God is saying. Take it in your heart by meditating it day and night, the Evil one won't be able to take it ever again from your heart.

Pray this prayer with me by faith and God is going to answer your prayer....
Heavenly Father, I thank You for your Word. Lord am asking that you may help me through your Holy Spirit to understand your Word when it preached; and that I may be able to keep it in my heart. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
